A bench of Chief Justice Sunita Agarwal and Justice Aniruddha P. Mayee, while hearing a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) plea objecting to a Haryanavi Song "Court Me Goli" as being against the integrity of the Indian Judiciary commented that today the court would watch the video song to decide the future course of action in the matter.
This PIL was filed by Umakant Rajaram Chauhan through Advocate Kuldip P. Solanki, seeking an order to stay on the display of the very Haryanavi song "Court me Goli" from YouTube which was released by Vat Records in December last year.
The counsel submitted before the court the concern about the video portraying the criminals shooting people in the courtroom in front of the judge and mentioning how it makes the judge seem sweaty. it was further submitted that these kinds of incidents have been happening in various parts of the country and this song may provoke the situations.
The court hearing the submissions of the counsel after seeking the transcript of the song adjourned the matter on October 19 stating that the court would watch the video song before deciding the case.
