Arvind Kejriwal, the Chief Minister of Delhi, has been detained by the Enforcement Directorate following raids at his residence related to the now-defunct Delhi liquor policy scam case. This action comes after the Delhi High Court declined to provide him interim protection from arrest. An 11-member team from the ED conducted the operation, armed with a search warrant in connection with the Delhi excise policy money laundering case. Kejriwal is set to undergo a medical examination and will be presented before a court on Friday. His arrest marks the fourth high-profile detention in the Delhi excise policy investigation, following Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh, and K Kavitha. Despite the AAP chief's repeated failure to appear before the agency in response to summons, the Delhi High Court has denied him protection from coercive measures in the money laundering case linked to the excise policy.
